About Sid

I'm a senior software engineer with more than twenty-five years in the trade. I've watched AI change how software is made, first hand and from the inside.

It did not happen all at once. First it finished our lines of code. Then it wrote whole pieces of a program, read our projects, ran our tests and fixed what broke. Somewhere along the way my trade stopped asking "can AI help with this?" and started asking "how do we set this up so that it helps every day?" I don't think "revolutionized" overstates what happened to software. If anything, it understates it.

Then I talked to friends and colleagues in other industries, people who run trades, shops, offices and small companies. Nearly all of them told me they use AI. And then they described a chat window. They type a question, they paste in a document, and they copy the answer back out. It helps, but it is scratching the surface.

The gap is not the AI. Software teams spent decades learning how to write down the rules of the work, keep everything in one place, check each other's work and automate what repeats. Those habits are exactly what makes AI useful past the chat window, and almost none of them have reached the businesses that don't make software.

That is what I do here. On the YouTube channel I take one scenario at a time, a quote that goes out wrong or a rule that has to be repeated every morning, and show how it is solved with better use of AI. On this site the free guides go deeper, and the books walk you through setting it up yourself.

What I don't do: promise you money or hours, or tell you any tool will run your business for you. Treat AI like a junior employee. You teach it, it remembers what is written down, and you still check its work.

What Sid is

Sid is an AI-generated presenter. His face and his voice are made with AI tools. The businesses and people in his stories are made up to show a point. What a tool is shown doing on screen, the tool really does.
